1. Who we are
Cosmik Streamer is made and licensed by Cosmik Drones LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@cosmikstreamer.com.
2. Who you are buying from
Our orders and payments are handled by Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record and the reseller for every purchase. That means your contract for the transaction — payment, tax and invoicing — is with Paddle, and Paddle's own terms apply to it. Your right to use the software is granted by us, under these terms.
3. What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use the Cosmik Streamer software. You are not buying the software itself, and you are not buying any hardware. Nothing is shipped to you. You supply your own Raspberry Pi, memory card, power supply, cable and goggles.
Your licence lets you:
- install and run Cosmik Streamer on one Raspberry Pi at a time;
- use it for personal or commercial work, including paid client shoots, with no extra fee;
- move the licence to a different Raspberry Pi if yours fails, is replaced, or is upgraded.
Your licence does not let you:
- share, resell, rent or sublicense the licence key;
- run it on more than one device at the same time from a single licence;
- remove or work around the licensing, or distribute copies of the software.
4. Activation
The licence is tied to the individual Raspberry Pi you activate it on. Activation happens on the device and does not require an internet connection. If you replace your Raspberry Pi, you can move the licence to the new one — contact us and we will help.
5. ★ Safety — please read this one
Cosmik Streamer is a recording and streaming tool. It is not a flight-safety device, and it is not part of how you control your aircraft.
You remain solely responsible for flying safely and lawfully, including compliance with all applicable aviation rules in your country. Never rely on Cosmik Streamer — or on any picture, telemetry, link-quality reading or recording it shows — to make a decision that affects the safety of a flight. Always maintain the situational awareness, visual observers, airspace authorisations and equipment checks that your flying requires independently of this product.
We design Cosmik Streamer so that it does not interfere with the video or control link you fly on, and we treat that as the product's most important property. Even so, radio-controlled flight involves risks that no software can remove, and you accept those risks as the pilot in command.
6. Updates
We provide updates to the version you purchased. We may add, change or retire features over time. If we ever release a significantly different product as a separate paid release, we will say so plainly rather than quietly ending support for what you bought.
7. Warranty and what it does not cover
We want this to work for you, and if it does not, our refund policy is the fastest route to putting it right. Beyond that, the software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with hardware, goggles, firmware versions or accessories we have not tested. If you are unsure whether your setup is supported, ask us before you buy — we would rather tell you it will not work than take your money.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost footage, lost profits, lost work, damage to aircraft or equipment, or loss arising from a flight.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Memory cards fail, and no recording tool is a backup strategy.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Ending the licence
Your licence continues until you stop using the software or we end it. We may end it if you materially breach these terms — for example by sharing or reselling your key — and we will tell you why. If we end your licence in the first 14 days for a reason that is not your breach, we will refund you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above always shows when. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you agreed to at purchase govern that purchase.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of the country in which you live.
